I've long mooted the idea that compliance is not something that can be done. That's because it's an outcome. Jugglers know this. They don't focus on the outcome; they focus on the means to get their outcome.

It's no coincidence that I have chosen contribution and collaboration as the key methods by which I work with organisations. If we are to move towards better, we need to focus on enhancing social capital.

We like coincidences. They, in an odd way, make us feel special, unique. The problem arises when we make decisions based on coincidences that we have not identified as coincidences.

This global crisis is turning out to be a test of global governance and culture.
